Neil Elman is a seasoned writer and producer with a remarkable 25-year career under his belt. He is the founder and CEO of Elman Films, a company he recently wrapped production on for the upcoming thriller Atlas, starring Academy Award-nominated actor Demian Bichir. Atlas is set to debut on the festival circuit in the fall of 2023.
Before venturing out on his own, Elman held the position of Senior Vice President at MarVista Entertainment, a FOX Company. In this role, he oversaw the independent genre slate, creating and producing content for the domestic theatrical, streamer, and festival marketplaces. Some of his notable recent projects include the holiday rom-com Christmas Is Canceled for Lionsgate and Amazon Prime, the thriller Sightless for Netflix, and the critically acclaimed Hunter Hunter, which received a 94% certified fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes and was released by IFC Midnight and Hulu.
Prior to joining MarVista Entertainment, Elman served as Senior Vice President of Production and Development at Cinetel Films, where he oversaw a slate of 8-15 films per year from various TV networks and studios, including Syfy Channel, Lifetime, HBO, Starz, Anchor Bay, and others. Throughout his career, Elman has developed and produced over 100 films for both domestic and international markets.
With a string of successful horror thrillers under his belt, including Hunter Hunter, Sightless, No Escape Room, House of the Witch, and the reboot of the cult classic I Spit on Your Grave franchise, Elman has established himself as a prominent figure in the genre landscape. He is eager to continue building on his brand under his own banner.
