Nathan Morlando is a multifaceted Canadian film and television director and writer, renowned for his exceptional work in the industry.
As a director, Morlando has made a significant impact with his most recent project, directing and executive producing the final six episodes of the acclaimed drama series Cardinal, which has garnered international recognition and numerous awards.
Morlando's sophomore feature film, Mean Dreams, received its World Premiere at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival Director's Fortnight, and later made its North American debut as a Special Presentation at the Toronto International Film Festival. This coming-of-age crime thriller was named one of Canada's Top Ten Films of the year and received three Director's Guild Award nominations, including Best Director.
Morlando's debut feature film, Citizen Gangster, was a true crime drama that premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival and went on to receive widespread critical acclaim. The film won the Best Canadian First Feature Award and earned five Canadian Screen Award nominations, two Director's Guild of Canada Award nominations, including Best Feature Film.
