Prior to assuming the lead role in the critically acclaimed film Atanarjuat: The Fast Runner, released in 2001, Natar had already made a significant impact in the Canadian and American film industries, taking on notable roles in a variety of projects, including Kabloonak, a 1994 production, as well as Glory & Honor, released in 1998, and Frostfire, which premiered in 1995.
