Narek Nersisyan, a talented Armenian artist, was born on May 21, 1988, in Yerevan, Armenia. From a young age, he demonstrated a strong inclination towards the arts, which led him to pursue a degree at the Yerevan State Institute of Theater and Cinema. His passion for acting was evident since childhood, and he decided to realize his dream of becoming a great actor.
As a student, Narek began his creative journey at the State Comedy Musical Theater named after H. Paronyan in 2010. He quickly rose to prominence, becoming one of the leading actors of the theater. Throughout his career, he has acted in numerous renowned plays, including performances that have participated in prestigious festivals such as the Gdansk Shakespeare Festival.
One of his notable roles was in the monoperformance "Lucien Luc" by French playwright Marcel Mithois "L'accompagnateur," which earned him the prestigious Armenian Theatrical award "Artavazd" for Best Young Actor of the Year in 2011. The monoperformance gained international recognition, attracting the attention of festival organizers and the French Embassy in Armenia, which supported his performance in French. Narek successfully presented "Lucien Luc" in French in May 2012, receiving a great reception.
Narek's educational background has allowed him to compose music for various theatrical performances. He completed Sayat Nova Musical School and was a member of the renowned choirs "Hayastani Poqrik Yergichner" ("Armenian Little Singers") for several years.
Since 2006, Narek has appeared in several feature and short films that have participated in prominent film festivals worldwide, including the Berlin International Film Festival, Pusan International Film Festival, Sundance International Film Festival, and Rotterdam International Film Festival.
In addition, Narek has been cast in a new film project, which has garnered attention from international producers. The World Premiere of the film is scheduled to take place at the Gothenburg International Film Festival in 2014.
In 2012, Narek became the first Armenian actor to participate in the Berlinale Talent Campus, a creative academy and networking platform that offers a range of programs for actors, directors, cinematographers, editors, and other professionals. The Berlinale Talent Campus provides a unique opportunity for talented individuals from around the world to exchange experiences with industry experts and learn from their peers.
