Biography

Naomi Chance, a talented actress, began her journey by attending the prestigious Central School of Drama. After gaining experience in repertory and touring productions, she landed a small screen role, which ultimately led to starring roles in films alongside prominent American actors in British films.

Her impressive performances and versatility earned her recognition on British television, particularly for her portrayal of Amelia Huntley in the popular series "The Newcomers" in 1965. Naomi's personal life was also marked by her marriage to a retired naval surgeon, with whom she resided in Devon for many years.

Naomi's acting career came to a close in 1976, but she remained connected to the industry, frequently visiting her friends in London and expressing her desire to act again. However, her friends and colleagues advised her to focus on other pursuits, citing her reluctance to self-promote as a major obstacle to her success. Anthony Hinds, a prominent producer who worked with Naomi early in her career, noted that while she possessed immense talent, her inability to effectively market herself hindered her progress.
