Nabil Ayouch is a Moroccan film director, writer, producer, and founder of Ali n' Production, a leading film and TV production company in Morocco. He is a member of the Academy of Motion Pictures, the Académie des Césars, and the Arab Film Academy.
Born and raised in Casablanca, Ayouch has directed numerous feature films, including Mektoub (1997),Ali Zaoua: Prince of the Streets (2000),Une minute de soleil en moins (2002),Whatever Lola Wants (2007),My Land (2011),Horses of God (2012),Much Loved (2015),Razzia (2017),Adam (2019),Casablanca Beats (2021),and The Blue Caftan (2022).
Ayouch has also produced several live shows, including the opening of Morocco Time in France at the Château de Versailles in 1999 and the closing show of the World Economic Forum in Davos in 2009. He has won numerous awards for his work, including the François Chalais Award, the Valois d'Or, and the Valois for Best Actress.
In addition to his film work, Ayouch is also a philanthropist and has founded the Ali Zaoua Foundation, which provides cultural and artistic programs for young people in underprivileged neighborhoods. He has also opened several cultural centers throughout Morocco, including the Cultural Center "Les étoiles de Sidi Moumen" in Casablanca, the Cultural Center in Tangier, the Cultural Center in Agadir, the Cultural Center in Fez, and the Cultural Center in Marrakech.
Ayouch has been recognized for his contributions to the film industry and has received several awards and honors, including a carte blanche from the Louvre Museum in 2014. His work has been exhibited in Paris and Casablanca, and he continues to be a prominent figure in the Moroccan film industry.
