Motti Lerner, a renowned playwright and screenwriter, was born in Israel in 1949. He has established himself as a prominent figure in the Israeli theatre scene, with a diverse range of plays that have been produced by various esteemed theatres.
As a professor, Lerner teaches "Political Playwriting" at Tel Aviv University, sharing his expertise with the next generation of playwrights. His extensive experience has also led him to become a frequent lecturer at European and American universities, where he discusses playwriting, the Israeli theatre, and the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
Throughout his career, Lerner has written numerous plays that have received critical acclaim. Lerner's latest play, "Dinner with Dad", is set to premiere at the Cameri Theatre in Tel Aviv in December 2005.
