Morningstar Derosier, a talented and accomplished Anishinaabe filmmaker and photographer, hails from the Migisi Sahgaihan First Nation and has strong roots in Northwestern Ontario, Canada. Her journey into the world of visual storytelling began with a passion for learning, as she enrolled in the Ontario School of Art and Design to delve into the fascinating realm of Indigenous Visual Culture. This foundation proved to be a springboard for her future pursuits, as she went on to further her education by earning an Advanced Diploma in Digital Cinematography at Canadore College.
