Throughout his tenure as foreign minister, Zarif has led several high-profile diplomatic efforts, with one of his most notable achievements being the successful negotiation with the P5+1 countries, which culminated in the signing of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) on July 14, 2015.
