Born in 1956, this esteemed Egyptian director embarked on a remarkable journey in the world of cinema, ultimately graduating from the prestigious High Cinema Institute in 1979. Prior to venturing out on his own, he honed his craft by serving as an assistant director to several renowned filmmakers, including the illustrious Atef El Tayeb, Osama Fawzy, and Khairy Beshara, in an impressive array of over 40 films.
As he continued to refine his skills, he finally made his feature directorial debut with the critically acclaimed film "Free Time" in 2006, a production collaboration with the accomplished Hussein El Qala. This inaugural endeavour marked the beginning of a successful career, with subsequent works including the thought-provoking films "The Magic, The Thief and the Fool" and the captivating TV series "Eyes of the Heart".
