Mitsuko Mito

Mitsuko Mito, a renowned Japanese actress, took her first breath on the twenty-third day of March, nineteen hundred and nineteen, in the city of Fukushima, Japan. This talented thespian would go on to captivate audiences with her captivating performances on the silver screen, leaving an indelible mark on the world of cinema. Her notable film credits include Kenji Mizoguchi's critically acclaimed masterpiece, "Ugetsu", released in 1953, as well as two installments of the "Samurai" series, specifically "Samurai I: Musashi Miyamoto" (1954) and "Samurai II: Duel at Ichijoji Temple" (1955). Mitsuko Mito's remarkable career spanned many years, until her untimely passing on April 5, 1981.
