Mitchell Rad was born on March 24th in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, but his family soon moved to southeast New Mexico, eventually settling in his hometown of Midland, Texas. Growing up in the Permian Basin of West Texas, surrounded by flat desert landscapes, oil rigs, and pump jacks, high school football dominated the Friday night lights.
