Mitchel A. Jones, a born lover of Halloween, was born in October 1984 in Bryan, Ohio. His creative journey began when he was inspired by the German Expressionistic mind of Tim Burton, leading him to spin short stories and develop stop motion animation films on an old VHS camcorder. This marked the discovery of his passion for film. As a teenager, he honed his skills in skateboarding, guitar playing, and music creation, while focusing his writing efforts on horror screenplays.
After high school, Mitchel attempted to major in film at the University of Toledo, but soon realized that the curriculum was not challenging enough for his exceptional skills. Disillusioned, he decided to use his tuition money to invest in film equipment, allowing him to work on several short film projects. One of these projects, "The Pilfer," a short film he collaborated on with another student, received widespread acclaim and recognition for its uniqueness.
Mitchel's experience working on "The Pilfer" motivated him to put his camera to work for him. He began shooting music videos for the country/southern rock group Sierra Shame, earning a decent income but limited film experience. However, when he was offered the opportunity to work with the History channel on a Halloween special for the show Modern Marvels, he jumped at the chance. This experience sparked his interest in production and led him to establish his own production company, Chasing Autumn Films, LLC, in partnership with TRIWAR Pictures, LLC.
In the spring of 2010, Mitchel joined forces with the Shad Ireland foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to raising awareness about the causes of kidney disease in underprivileged communities. Since then, he has directed numerous music videos and collaborated with athletes and celebrities to give back to the communities that have supported him.
