Biography

Miranda has held the esteemed position of Head of the Acting Department at Toi Whakaari - New Zealand Drama School for a remarkable seven-year period.

As a highly sought-after instructor, Miranda teaches at various prestigious institutions, including the National Film and Television School in London, AFTRS, The Hub in Sydney, Toi Whakaari, The Actors' Program, and Victoria University in New Zealand, as well as providing personalized coaching sessions to individual clients via Zoom.

In addition to her teaching endeavors, Miranda has also served as a Governor for the Filmmaker Lab and the Rising Stars at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) on two separate occasions, in 2019 and 2021.

Throughout her illustrious career, Miranda has had the privilege of coaching numerous talented individuals who have gone on to receive prestigious awards and nominations, including Oscar, Golden Globe, Emmy, International Emmy, and BAFTA awards.

In 2017, Miranda co-directed the highly acclaimed film "The Changeover," a New Zealand YA classic, alongside Stuart McKenzie. The film received widespread critical acclaim and was selected for various film festivals, including the Rome, Sydney, Malmo, and Neuchatel festivals, before being released in the UK, the US, and NZ.
