Biography

The multifaceted artist, whose youthful years were spent tending to sheep on a New Zealand farm, would later blossom into a renowned novelist, playwright, and film exhibitor upon his return to Britain in 1918. As his career flourished, he would eventually experience significant success with his 1928 masterpiece, "The First Born," which he not only directed but also acted in, and was adapted from his own novel and play.
