Throughout his illustrious career, Mike has received numerous accolades and nominations for his outstanding cinematography. In 1998, he was nominated for an American Society of Cinematographers ASC Award for Outstanding Achievement in Cinematography in Movies of the Week/Pilots for his work on Snow White: A Tale of Terror (1997). Additionally, he was nominated for a CableACE Award in 1997 for Cinematography in a Movie or Miniseries for the same project.
Mike's music video awards include the 1993 MTV Award for Best Cinematography in a Music Video for Guns & Roses' "November Rain", the 1992 MVPA Award for Best Cinematography for George Michael's "Freedom '90", and the 1992 MTV Award for Best Dance Video for Prince's "Cream".
