Here is the biography of Mike Schnapp:

Mike Schnapp, also known as DJ Uncle Mike, is a music-minded native New Yorker. He is a DJ, actor, author, film producer, music producer, published photographer, and part-time loiterer. Mike loves traveling, live music, classic American automobiles, great food, nature, and fun on the beach.

Mike has acted in a trilogy of Spaghetti Western movies filmed in Almeria, Spain, produced by Chip Baker Films, including "6 Bullets To Hell", "The Bounty Killer", and "The Price Of Death". He also made an appearance in the documentary film "Murder In The Front Row" as himself and appeared in the Depth Charge Productions film titled "Excretion: The Shocking Story of the Soccer Moms".

As a film producer, Mike has produced a trilogy of music documentary films, including "Nightclubbing: The Birth of Punk Rock in NYC", "Sid: The Final Curtain", and "Ghosts of the Chelsea Hotel (and Other Rock & Roll Stories)". He is also an Associate Producer of the music documentary films "Rolling Stone Life and Death of Brian Jones" and "Sad Vacation".

Mike is currently working on his writing trilogy of upcoming books, known as the "DUDE LITERARY TRILOGY", which will include "MEGADUDE: On Tour & More w/ The 1980's Heaviest Metal", "METALDUDE: Music Stories & Stuff", and "PHOTODUDE: Impressionistic, Somewhat Historic, Blurry, Out of Focus & A Few Clear Schnappshots".

As a published photographer, Mike has had his photographs included in the books "Huey Morgan's Rebel Heroes; The Renegades of Music & Why We Still Need Them" by Huey Morgan, "There's No Bones In Ice Cream" by Sylvain Sylvain, and the vinyl music release "Pearl Jam, Aladdin Theatre Las Vegas '93 (live)" by Pearl Jam.

Mike is currently a resident DJ at the Brooklyn Bowl, where he has spun over 400 music sets, setting a venue record. He has also spun tunes at various other locations, including Almeria, Spain, Austin, TX, the Bahamas, Dublin, Ireland, Fortaleza, Brazil, Brooklyn, NY, Charleston, SC, Costa Brava, Spain, Gustavia, St. Barths, the Hamptons, NY, Hoi An, Vietnam, Hollywood, CA, Las Vegas, NV, London, England, Madrid, Spain, Miami Beach, FL, Montauk, NY, New York City, NY, Salt Lake City, UT, San Sebastian, Spain, St. Jean, St. Barths, Tokyo, Japan, Wales, UK, Woodstock, NY, and even New Jersey.

Mike has made cameo appearances in music videos by Fun Lovin' Criminals, Huey and the New Yorkers, The Kid Daytona, Murphy's Law, Prophets Of Rage, and The Ramones. In 1992, Mike was a VJ on MTV for a segment on their popular "Headbangers Ball" show, titled "Un-Schnapped". In 2002, Mike appeared in a TV special that aired on VH-1 regarding the history of the popular MTV show "Headbangers Ball", titled "Headbangers Ball: Uncensored".
