Mike's life story begins with a unique twist, as he was adopted before birth and grew up in Massapequa, Long Island. His father, Joseph A. Funk, had a remarkable career in the military, serving for an impressive thirty-six years. On the other hand, Mike's mother, Jeanne, dedicated herself to being a devoted housewife, raising Mike alongside his three sisters, Jeanne, Carol, and Susan.
As Mike navigated his educational journey, he was accepted into the esteemed Berklee College of Music in Boston, where he pursued a major in Film Scoring. After completing his studies, Mike furthered his artistic development by attending The Acting Studio in New York City, led by the esteemed director James Price. Notably, James Price had previously taught at the renowned Neighborhood Playhouse, under the guidance of the legendary Mr. Sanford Meisner.
Today, Mike calls New York City his home, where he continues to make a name for himself in the entertainment industry, taking on various stage and screen acting roles.
