Mickey Dolan's journey began in Chicago, Illinois, where he was born, before relocating to Santa Fe, New Mexico in 2013. He spent over eight years honing his craft in the professional world before returning to his hometown of Chicago, where he is now based and represented by Gray Talent Group.
Dolan's acting credits include a recurring role in the Netflix original series "Daybreak" (2019),created by Brad Peyton and Aron Eli Coleite, opposite Matthew Broderick. He has also appeared in the Netflix film "The Harder They Fall" alongside Regina King, LaKeith Stanfield, and Idris Elba, directed by Jeymes Samuel and produced by James Lassiter and Shawn Carter.
In addition to his work on "Daybreak" and "The Harder They Fall," Dolan has had roles on Epix's "Get Shorty," directed by Emmy-winning Colin Bucksey, and AMC's "Dark Winds," produced by George R.R. Martin and Robert Redford. He has also appeared in The CW's "Roswell, NM."
Dolan's educational background includes a 2017 graduation from the New Mexico School for the Arts, where he studied acting. He went on to attend the California Institute of the Arts (CalArts) in Valencia, California, but returned to Santa Fe shortly after to pursue a career in film. During his time in Santa Fe, he won the 2017 New Mexico Actor's Showcase in the "17 and Under" category.
In the summer of 2019, Dolan took on the lead role of Leo in the New Mexico Actors Lab's production of "4000 Miles," directed by two-time Emmy award-winning producer Robert Benedetti. He has also worked alongside award-winning actress Michael Learned in the Santa Fe Playhouse's "Re-imagining Mary Hunter Austin's 1919 Performance." In the summer of 2021, Dolan played the role of Jim Fengal in "The Lifespan of a Fact."
