Mick Wingert's life journey began in Fresno, California, where he initially pursued his passion for acting by participating in local community theater productions. This early experience laid the foundation for his subsequent involvement in stage plays and musical performances at the renowned Roosevelt School of the Arts program at Theodore Roosevelt High school.
Wingert's academic pursuits took him to California State University, Fresno, where he majored in Mass Communication and Journalism, further honing his skills in preparation for a career in the entertainment industry.
In 2004, Wingert made the bold decision to relocate to southern California, driven by a singular focus on voice acting for animation. This strategic move ultimately led to his breakthrough role in the 2008 video game, Kung Fu Panda, where he brought the iconic character, Po, to life, voiced by the incomparable Jack Black.
Since then, Wingert has established himself as a working voice actor, effortlessly transitioning between television, animation, and interactive gaming industries, solidifying his reputation as a talented and versatile performer.
Outside of his professional endeavors, Wingert is a devoted husband and father of two, and he and his family reside in the greater Los Angeles area, where they share a loving and fulfilling life together.
