Mick Rossi is a multi-talented individual who has made a significant impact in the entertainment industry. Born in Manchester, England, he began his career as a teenager by forming the cult British Punk rock band Slaughter And The Dogs. As the band's lead singer, songwriter, and producer, Mick has written and produced several albums, playing alongside notable acts such as The Sex Pistols, The Clash, The Damned, Talking Heads, and many more.
Slaughter And The Dogs were pioneers in the Punk Rock movement in Britain, releasing their debut single "Cranked Up Really High" in 1977, which was voted one of the top 50 punk singles of all time by Q Magazine. The band has since become a staple at major musical festivals worldwide, headlining events and performing alongside iconic acts.
In addition to his work with Slaughter And The Dogs, Mick has also collaborated with actor Val Kilmer on a collection of songs for Val's debut album. He has also teamed up with fellow Manchester singer Chris Wicks to form "The Glorious," releasing two albums, "Stories From a Fractured Youth" and "Afflecks Palace," which feature guest appearances from Sex Pistol Steve Jones, Cult guitarist Billy Duffy, and Scott Weiland of Stone Temple Pilots.
Mick has also transitioned into acting, working under the direction of Keith Allen for the BBC and later moving to Los Angeles to pursue a career in independent film and television. As a writer, he has penned scripts for actors Gabriel Byrne, Joanne Whalley, and Patrick Bergin, among others.
Mick is the co-creator and writer of the Lionsgate hit "Played," which he also produced and starred in alongside a star-studded cast, including Val Kilmer, Gabriel Byrne, Vinnie Jones, Anthony LaPaglia, the late great Bruno Kirby, Joanne Whalley, and Patsy Kensit. The film won awards for Best Picture at the Hollywood Film Festival and Best Original Screenplay at the Malibu International Film Festival.
He followed up "Played" with the dramatic heist thriller "2:22," which he co-wrote with director Phillip Guzman and starred in alongside Val Kilmer and Gabriel Byrne. The film received critical acclaim, likened to classic noir thrillers such as "Asphalt Jungle" and "Grand Hotel," and won Best Film at the Malibu International Film Festival.
Mick's most recent projects include the physiological thriller "A Kiss and A Promise," which he wrote and produced for Echo Bridge Entertainment, and the gritty television drama BADLAND, which he co-created and co-wrote with director Phillip Guzman.
