Michelle Pfeiffer, a talented actress, was born in Santa Ana, California, to Dick and Donna Pfeiffer, a loving and supportive family. She has an older brother and two younger sisters, Dedee Pfeiffer and Lori Pfeiffer, who both explored the world of acting and modeling, but ultimately decided to pursue other passions.
Michelle attended Fountain Valley High School, graduating in 1976, and then went on to study at Golden West College for a year, where she aimed to become a court reporter. However, her true calling was yet to be discovered. She spent time working as a supermarket checker at Vons, a prominent Southern California grocery chain, where she eventually realized her true passion lay in the world of acting.
In 1981, Michelle married actor and director Peter Horton, known for his role in the popular TV series Thirtysomething. The couple later divorced, and Michelle went on to have a three-year relationship with actor Fisher Stevens. After this relationship ended, Michelle decided she didn't want to wait any longer to start a family, and in March 1993, she adopted a baby girl named Claudia Rose.
Later that year, on November 13th, Michelle married lawyer-turned-writer and producer David E. Kelley, creator of several successful TV shows, including Picket Fences, Chicago Hope, The Practice, and Boston Public. The couple welcomed their son, John Henry, on August 5, 1994.
