Michelle Bello, a talented film producer and director, made her debut in the industry in 2007 with the production and direction of her first feature film, Small Boy, set in Lagos, Nigeria. The film's instant success in the US led to two nominations at the American Black Film Festival in Los Angeles in 2008 for the Heineken Red Star Award for Innovation in Film and the Target Filmmaker Award for Most Inspirational Film.
In addition to its US success, Small Boy went on to win two prestigious awards at the African Movie Academy Awards in April 2009 for Best Art Direction and Best Young Child Actor. This recognition further solidified Michelle's position as a rising star in the film industry.
Following her success, Michelle earned a Master's Degree in Communications, specializing in Film Directing, at Regent University in the USA. She graduated in December 2011 and soon after, she returned to Nigeria to rejoin the thriving Nollywood industry.
With her combined knowledge and experience in the industry, both locally and internationally, Michelle produced and directed her second feature film, Flower Girl, in September 2012. The romantic comedy became Nigeria's hit film in February 2013, cementing Michelle's status as a talented and successful film producer and director.
