Biography

Michele Greene is a multifaceted American performer, proficient in two languages, who has made a significant impact in the entertainment industry as an actress, writer, and singer. Born in Las Vegas, Nevada, she was just an infant when her family relocated to Los Angeles following the untimely passing of her father.

The Greene family settled with Michele's maternal grandparents, Carmen and Arturo, in a household that was rich in Mexican and Central American traditions, which would later influence her artistic endeavors. Michele's upbringing played a significant role in shaping her cultural identity and artistic perspective.

She attended Fairfax High School and later pursued a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatre at the University of Southern California (USC). During her time at USC, she had the opportunity to study under renowned instructors such as Duncan Ross, James Wilson, Kate Fitzmaurice, Louis Fantasia, and Peggy Feury. Additionally, she honed her vocal skills with Ron Manuel-Ellison and Robert Edwards.

Michele's extensive career in television has included numerous series appearances and recurring roles. She is perhaps best known for her portrayal of Abigail Perkins in the groundbreaking NBC series L.A. Law, for which she received an Emmy nomination. Her impressive body of work also includes starring roles in cable and television movies, as well as theatre productions in Los Angeles and Canada.

Beyond her work in television and film, Michele is a talented musician and was a founding member of the band Sangre Sabia. She has released two critically acclaimed albums, Ojo DE Tiburon and Luna Roja, through Appleseed Recordings. Furthermore, she is the author of two young adult novels, Chasing the Jaguar (Harper Collins) and Keep Sweet (Simon and Schuster),which are currently in development for television adaptations.

Michele is also dedicated to giving back to her community through her work as the Artistic Director of Adelante Arts Collective, a performing arts program that serves under-served communities and at-risk youth. When she is not working, Michele enjoys a range of outdoor activities, including swimming, horseback riding, skiing, and mountain hiking.
