Michael Rowe, a talented individual, is widely recognized for his captivating portrayal of the iconic DC Comics' antihero Deadshot. Prior to his acting career, Rowe's first passion was music, and he spent ten years as a songwriter and drummer for the post-hardcore/punk band Bucket Truck.
During his time with the band, Rowe had the opportunity to share the stage with renowned acts such as NOFX, Slayer, Fishbone, and D.O.A. However, after the band's breakup, Rowe found himself at a crossroads and decided to pursue a new path.
He relocated to Vancouver, where his brother Andrew was starting his career as a filmmaker. Rowe began producing and performing in his brother's digital comedy shorts, which gained significant success. Their short film "Sleepy Stories" became a film festival favorite, and they went on to create the award-winning "Vehicular Romanticide" with the support of the Whistler Film Festival and MPPIA.
With his newfound focus, Rowe attended The Actor's Foundry in East Vancouver and eventually landed a recurring role as the popular super villain Deadshot on the hit CW series Arrow. His background in comedy brought a unique and darkly offbeat energy to the performance, making the character a fan favorite.
Rowe's success in the DC world led him to take on another iconic comic book character, Ninjak, in Valiant Comics' debut live-action series titled: "Ninjak vs. The Valiant Universe", set for release in 2017.
In addition to his work in the DC and Valiant universes, Rowe continues to collaborate with his brother on independent projects. They have recently completed production on their debut feature film, Crown and Anchor, in which Rowe plays the lead character, James Downey. The dark family drama is set in St. John's, Newfoundland, and is slated for release in 2017.
