Michael Davis Peterson's two-decade-long journey in the film industry has been a winding path of exploration and growth. At the tender age of 20, he achieved a childhood dream by landing a position as a special makeup effects artist in Hollywood, marking the beginning of his professional career.
As he continued to hone his craft, Michael's talent and dedication earned him recognition, and at 29, he took the bold step of opening his own makeup design studio, Image Alchemy Productions. This venture proved to be a resounding success, with the studio eventually becoming the largest special makeup effects studio in Arizona.
However, after six years of running his own studio, Michael felt an insatiable urge to pivot and explore new creative avenues. He shifted his focus to producing, directing, and writing film and video content, and the past five years have been a whirlwind of activity.
With his youthful enthusiasm and passion for storytelling, Michael has sold screenplays, produced an abundance of video content for web and television, and even ventured into short filmmaking. His dedication to his craft has been unwavering, and he is currently pursuing his master's degree in filmmaking at MSU film school.
Michael's achievements have not gone unnoticed, and in 2017, he was awarded the prestigious Presidential Emerging Scholar grant for filmmaking. This recognition paved the way for an incredible opportunity in 2018, when he spent four weeks in Morocco, capturing a documentary on an indigenous community in the High Atlas mountains.
Throughout his career, Michael has developed a reputation for working closely with clients and filmmakers to craft projects that tell impactful stories with integrity and insight. For him, every project is a unique and special journey, during which he forms lasting relationships, creates and distributes content, and strives to tell truthful stories that guide him as he builds his own path, brick by brick.
