Michael N. Harbour, whose middle initial stands for Ninian, was born in the esteemed city of Edinburgh, Scotland, and was one of six children born to a veterinarian father. He was raised in London and St. Alban's, Hertfordshire, where his passion for amateur dramatics first began to flourish. It was during his formative years in St. Alban's that he met his future wife, Lesley, whom he would later marry in 1968. Their union was blessed with the birth of their daughter, Kate Harbour, a talented actress and voice-over artist, just a year later.
Michael's academic pursuits led him to graduate from the renowned Rose Bruford Drama School in Kent, whereupon he joined the esteemed BBC Radio Repertory Company. Additionally, he took on the role of presenting the popular children's educational program, "Finding Out." As a stage performer at Stratford East, he earned a reputation for his exceptional talent, and his impressive vocal abilities also led him to appear in various musical productions, including "Zorro" and "Into the Woods." Although he was initially cast in the film adaptation of "Sweeney Todd," he was ultimately cut from the final production.
Sadly, Michael N. Harbour passed away in April 2009, while staying with relatives in Cornwall, after a courageous battle with cancer.
