Michael L. Garcia Jr. was born in Pharr, Texas, a small town that would eventually lead him to the bright lights of the big city. In 1989, he made the move to Corpus Christi, Texas, to pursue his passion for theater arts and to hone his acting skills. During his time in Corpus Christi, he had the opportunity to audition for and perform in several community plays, including "South Pacific" where he took on the role of Henri, a French butler, and "Best Little Whore House in Texas" where he played the character of Edsel. These early performances helped lay the foundation for his acting career, and he continued to work on various stage productions at The Harbor Playhouse.
As his stage experience grew, so did his desire to transition into film. In 2009, Michael made the move to Austin, Texas, and landed his first background job on the film "Corruption.Gov" (2010) alongside Michael Madson. This marked the beginning of a successful film career, with Michael going on to appear in notable films such as "Predators" (2010),"Machete Kills" (2013),"Sin City: A Dame to Kill For" (2014),and "Alita: Battle Angel" (2018).
In addition to his film work, Michael has also made a name for himself in television, with appearances on shows such as "Revolution" (2012),"American Crime" (2014),"The Left Overs" (2015),"Queen of the South" (2016),"Day 5" (2017),and "The Long Road Home" (2017) for National Geographic. With over 40 projects under his belt, Michael has established himself as a talented and versatile actor.
Beyond his acting career, Michael is also a screenwriter and has founded his own film production company, Bearline Film Productions. He is dedicated to providing opportunities for up-and-coming talent and is currently working on several projects, including the film "Unforgivable Sins" (2017),which is still in production, and the upcoming horror series "Bears vs Zombies: Converger" (2018).
