Michael Johnston, also known as Michael Baldwin and Michael Badger, was born on March 17th, 1966, in Weston, Ontario, Canada. He made his literary debut at the tender age of nine, publishing his first short story, "Gilroy, the Ghost Who Wouldn't Glow".
As he entered adulthood, Michael began his career in the radio and advertising industry at the age of 17, working in various locations including Langley, Saskatoon, and Toronto. His big break came when he made the move to Los Angeles, where he honed his skills and earned a reputation for his exceptional screenwriting abilities.
Michael's award-winning screenplay, "Understanding Virginia", showcased his impressive ear for dialogue, and he went on to secure rewriting jobs on several motion pictures and television shows. His talent and dedication eventually led to commissions for original screenplays, including "Landspeed", starring Billy Zane, and "Dumping Grounds", which was later released as "Subject 15" with Core Productions.
In 2010, Michael expanded his creative horizons by turning his attention to writing graphic novels and pursuing a career in stand-up comedy under the pseudonym Michael Badger. Throughout his journey, Michael has remained committed to his craft, continually pushing the boundaries of his creativity and versatility.
Today, Michael is a proud father of two and resides in Calgary, Alberta, where he continues to nurture his passion for storytelling and performance.
