Michael J. Jacobs is a multifaceted individual with a plethora of talents and accomplishments. As a film director, photographer, journalist, fine artist, and US Navy combat cameraman, he has traversed nearly 70 countries and every continent, amassing a vast array of experiences and perspectives.
As a member of the implementation committee, Jacobs' master design concept for the new Martin Luther King Memorial and multi-media theatre was approved for the New Mexico Holocaust & Intolerance Museum, where he also served as chair of the design committee. This project showcases his ability to bring complex ideas to life and collaborate with others to achieve a shared vision.
Throughout his 41-year career as a professional photojournalist and news gatherer, Jacobs has earned the respect of top marketing firms, entertainment industry executives, and celebrities themselves. He has risen to the pinnacle of his profession as a world-renowned image-maker, with a network of over 20,000 contacts that includes numerous clients from the entertainment industry, politics, media, technology, art, development, community leadership, finance, banking, religion, and the military.
In his directorial debut, Jacobs' feature film "Crab Orchard" took top honors as Best Film of the Festival (Director's Gold Award) at the International Family Film Festival. As an educator for the past 44 years, he has taught photography and art courses at various schools, colleges, and universities domestically and abroad, including six years at UCLA.
