Michael's biography:
Michael is a Trinidadian actor, director, and educator. He received his professional training at the National Theatre Conservatory's Master of Fine Arts (MFA) degree program at the Denver Center for the Performing Arts. He has appeared in numerous stage productions, including "A Streetcar named Desire", "Lobby Hero", "The Three Sisters", and "A Selfish Sacrifice" at the Denver Center Theatre Company; "Othello" and "The Merry Wives of Windsor" at the Houston Shakespeare Festival; and "Antony and Cleopatra" and "The Comedy of Errors" at the Colorado Shakespeare Festival.
He has also appeared in several television commercials and award-winning public service announcements, and has voiced numerous radio commercials. Michael has worked with educational theatre companies such as Arts-in-Action and Trinidad Theatre Workshop's Theatre-in-Education company.
Michael has received several awards and nominations for his work, including the Cacique Award for Best Supporting Actor for his work in "The Joker of Seville" and the Pioneer in Film Award in 2013 by the Trinidad and Tobago Film Festival. He has been nominated for the Best Actor Cacique Award on several occasions.
In addition to his acting career, Michael is an Assistant Professor of Acting at the University of Trinidad and Tobago's Academy for the Performing Arts, and has served on the board of the Trinidad and Tobago Film Company (now FilmTT) and the National Drama Association of Trinidad and Tobago. He is also a member of Actors' Equity Association of the United States of America.
