Michael Caton is a veteran actor with a career spanning over four decades, having worked in television, theatre, and film both in Australia and abroad. His journey in the entertainment industry began in 1963 at the Twelfth Night Theatre, where he was cast in the role of an Irish git at the age of 20. He was part of a group of young performers who would go on to become some of Australia's most notable actors, including Jack Thompson, Judith McGrath, Carol Burns, Shane Porteous, Harold Hopkins, and Henry Crawford.
Since then, Michael has appeared in numerous successful productions, including television shows such as The Sullivans, Homicide, Cop Shop, Stingers, The Flying Doctors, The Les Darcy Story, Great Expectations, Blue Heelers, All Saints, Wildside, and A Country Practice. He has also starred in mini-series like Never Tell Me Never, Shadows of the Heart, and Come in Spinner.
Michael's film career has seen him appear in a range of movies, including Three Summers, The Interview, The 13th Floor, Monkey Grip, and Hoodwinked. One of his most notable film roles was as Dale Kerrigan in the beloved feature film, The Castle. He has also won awards for his performances, including the SMH Star of the Year Award in 2004 for his role in Strange Bedfellows opposite Paul Hogan.
