Biography

Michael Burns, a renowned individual, began his career as a child actor, captivating television audiences in the early 1960s with his portrayal of the teenage character "Barnaby West" on the beloved Wagon Train series.

As he transitioned out of acting, Burns pursued his passion for history, graduating from the University of California and later earning a Ph.D. from Yale University in 1977.

This acclaimed scholar then went on to write an influential history book, "Dreyfus", which explored the infamous Dreyfus Affair.

Burns then spent over two decades as a professor of history at Mount Holyoke College in Massachusetts, sharing his vast knowledge with students from 1980 to 2002.

After retiring from academia, Burns has dedicated himself to raising thoroughbred horses in Kentucky, bringing a new sense of purpose to his life.
