Biography

Meredith Thomas, a talented and multifaceted individual, spent her early childhood in Utqiagvik, Alaska, the northernmost settlement in North America, where her parents taught Inuit grade school students through the Bureau of Natives Affairs.

She later moved to the Great Island of New Castle off the coast of New Hampshire, where she began her acting career at a young age, landing her first professional role as Tessie in the production of "Annie" while still in elementary school.

Throughout her youth, Meredith continued to act in summer stock productions in the northeast, before heading west to secure a role in her first big-budget feature film, "Pleasantville", as a teenager.

This marked the beginning of her extensive career in film and television, which has since seen her appear in numerous projects, including thrillers like Lifetime's "The Wrong Blind" and "The Wrong Boy Next Door", as well as new Christmas classics such as "A Christmas in Vermont" with Chevy Chase and "A Christmas in Royal Fashion".

Meredith's impressive range has earned her numerous awards and nominations, including a Best Actress win for her 6th Christmas movie, "The Best Gift", and a leading actor nomination for "$TACK$", which she produced.

As a passionate advocate for inclusion, Meredith created the FYC Independents charity event in 2018, providing a platform for underrepresented talent, including people of color, performers with disabilities, LGBTQ talent, and women.

The FYC Independents' movement has led to countless Emmy nominations and wins, including the first black married couple ever nominated in the same year for Primetime Emmy's, the out first trans actor nominated for a performance Emmy Award, and a leading actor nomination for "$TACK$".

Meredith's mission in life is to foster hope, which she achieves through her charitable work for veterans, disabled children, voting accessibility, and blood donation as President of a Los Angeles area Elks Lodge.

She is also a longtime head mentor for public school 5th graders and an animal foster through several rescues, and has been a founding director of the Cre Theater Company and Changing Perceptions, where she wrote, directed, and produced theater for visually disabled actors.

Meredith Thomas is a talented and dedicated individual who has made a significant impact in the entertainment industry and beyond, using her platform to promote hope, inclusion, and positivity.
