Melanie Rose Wilson, a talented Canadian actor, was born in North Vancouver and spent her formative years in both Southern British Columbia and Alberta. At the tender age of nine, Melanie courageously broke out of her introverted shell and landed the lead role in her elementary school play, thus igniting a passion for performing that would define her future.
Throughout her high school years, Melanie showcased her multifaceted talents by directing and starring in numerous one-act plays, earning her multiple awards at the provincial festival level. Upon graduation, she returned to British Columbia to pursue a full-time career in acting.
In 2013, Melanie completed the esteemed Acting for Stage and Screen Program at Capilano University, and since then, she has been making a significant impact in the Vancouver film and television industry.
Melanie's most recent project is the indie feature "All in Madonna" [Blue Lake Films], in which she stars as Maddie, a character that premiered at the Whistler Film Festival in December 2020 and earned her a 2021 Leo Awards nomination for Best Lead Performance Female Motion Picture.
On television, Melanie has made notable appearances on hit shows such as The 100, Batwoman, Jordan Peele's The Twilight Zone, and Siren, and is best recognized for her recurring eccentric character, Les-Lay, on DC's Legends of Tomorrow.
When Melanie is not on set or refining her craft, she cherishes time spent with friends and family, often unwinding with a good book. Her love for reading is so profound that she can sometimes be found taking leisurely strolls, her head buried in a book, managing to avoid bumping into pedestrians along the way.
