Melanie Martin, a talented individual from Tallahassee, Florida, has been immersed in the world of dance and acting since the tender age of four. Her early training encompassed a diverse range of styles, including West African, Tap, Jazz, Modern, and Ballet.
As she grew older, Melanie pursued higher education at Hampton University, where she earned a degree in Mass Media with a concentration in Advertising and Theater. This multifaceted educational background laid the foundation for her future endeavors.
Melanie's professional journey began with a stint on the show tour for Mama Dee's Girls, which featured an impressive lineup of talent, including Jennifer Holliday, Ali Woodson, Cherelle, and Phillip Michael Thomas. Following this experience, she took a break to hone her skills by studying modern dance with the renowned Urban Bush Women company in New York.
Melanie's dance career continued to flourish as she joined the African Caribbean Dance Theater (ACDT) in Florida. Her passion for dance led her to further her education at the prestigious American Conservatory Theater in San Francisco, California.
