Maximilian Carlo Martini, a multi-talented individual, was born in New York to an Italian father and an American mother, granting him citizenship in the United States, Canada, and Italy. His father, a sculptor and Doctor of Philosophy and Phenomenology, instilled in him a deep appreciation for creative pursuits. His mother, a Texas law enforcement officer, brought a sense of strength and resilience to their family.
As a child, Martini moved around, eventually returning to New York City, where he began his journey in acting. He honed his craft at the Neighborhood Playhouse intensive and privately with Michael Howard in Manhattan. This foundation in acting led him to launch Theater North Collaborative (NYC),where he showcased new works from both the United States and Canada.
After taking a break from the stage, Martini refocused on his early passion for fine art. He attended the School of Visual Arts in Manhattan, earning his BFA in painting and sculpture while working as an artist assistant to the renowned Julian Schnabel.
Martini's transition to the screen was seamless, as he began working steadily in both film and television. His notable roles include starring in George Clooney's feature 'The Tender Bar' (2022) for Amazon Studios, the USA network television series The Purge, and the Netflix original movie Eli.
In addition to his acting work, Martini has also ventured into directing. His directorial debut, Sgt. Will Gardner, starred alongside Omari Hardwick, Lily Rabe, Robert Patrick, Dermot Mulroney, Elisabeth Röhm, and Gary Sinise. He has also completed directing his second feature film, The Manson Brothers Midnight Zombie Massacre.
Martini's extensive filmography boasts over 32 titles, including notable roles in films such as Steven Spielberg's Saving Private Ryan, the Fifty Shades of Grey trilogy, David Mamet's Red Belt, David Ayer's Sabotage, and the Legendary/Universal feature Spectral. His television credits include starring in season one of the Netflix series The Order, as well as the CBS series The Unit, which ran for four years.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Martini is deeply committed to charitable work, particularly benefiting veterans. He has made multiple trips to the Middle East, attended various veteran events, and supported veteran small businesses. He also works closely with Warriors Heart Addiction and PTSD Treatment Center and the Special Operations Charity Network, serving on the board of both organizations. Additionally, Martini supports Higher Ground USA and The Gary Sinise Foundation in any way possible.
