Max Gleschinski, a multifaceted and exceptionally skilled filmmaker, came into the world in Rostock, Germany, during the year 1993. As he embarked on his academic adventure, he simultaneously explored two distinct disciplines, delving into the realm of philosophy and English literature, while also cultivating his creative aptitudes as a freelance filmmaker. This unique dual approach enabled him to refine his artistic skills, and by the year 2014, he had already commenced producing a diverse array of short films and music videos, showcasing his burgeoning talent to the world.
Max's professional stature and renown continued to expand, prompting him to team up with his cinematographer, Jean-Pierre Meyer-Gehrke, to create his inaugural feature-length film, KAHLSCHLAG.
Max's subsequent feature film, titled ALASKA, garnered significant attention at the 2021 German Screenplay Award, earning a notable nomination for best screenplay, a prestigious recognition within the industry.
As ALASKA continues to move forward, it is currently in the post-production phase, receiving vital support from esteemed organizations such as ZDF – Kleines Fernsehpiel and Wood Water Films, further emphasizing the film's importance and quality.
In addition, Max's third feature film, BAHRI, has already entered the financing phase, solidifying his position as a prominent figure within the German film industry, a testament to his growing influence and reputation within the sector.
Max's professional endeavors extend far beyond the realm of feature films and documentaries, as he simultaneously spearheads a story development laboratory situated in the picturesque region of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.
