Max Barry is a renowned author, best known for his cult classic novel Syrup, the bestselling novel Jennifer Government, and his latest literary endeavour, Company. Prior to embarking on a career in writing, Barry spent a significant portion of his life as a marketer for Hewlett-Packard, an experience that he has described as "miserable". This stint, however, would later serve as a valuable resource for his third novel, Company, a scathing satire that critiques the corporate culture of America.
In addition to his literary pursuits, Barry maintains a personal blog, which he established in 2004 to keep his fans informed about his current projects. Furthermore, he has created the online game Nation States, which effectively served as a promotional tool for his second novel, Jennifer Government.
Today, Barry resides in Melbourne, Australia with his wife and their young daughter, Finn, who has brought immense joy to his life.
