Maurice McRae's journey into the world of acting began during his freshman year at Morehouse College, where he initially pursued a pre-medicine major but ultimately discovered his true passion in theater.
After earning a Master's degree in Acting from Rutgers University, Maurice went on to showcase his talents on stages across the country, making his Broadway debut in Lynn Nottage's critically acclaimed production of SWEAT.
In addition to his successful acting career, Maurice has also had a dual career as a Federal Emergency Management official, rising through the ranks at The Department of Homeland Security. Prior to leaving to focus on his creative endeavors full-time, Maurice served as Chief of Staff, holding the esteemed position of the third-highest ranking individual in his jurisdiction.
As he continues to pursue his passion for acting, Maurice has recently founded Glass Rabbit Ventures, LLC, his production company, which is set to collaborate on several exciting projects in the coming year. One such production is a documentary that sheds light on the significant issue of African Americans' lack of land ownership, highlighting the importance of addressing this pressing matter.
