Matti Harju, a talented filmmaker, has showcased his work at numerous prestigious film festivals worldwide, including the esteemed Rotterdam Film Festival, the Locarno Film Festival, the Torino Film Festival, the BFI London Film Festival, the Edinburgh International Film Festival, the AFI Fest Los Angeles, and the Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival, to name a few.
Prior to establishing himself as a prominent figure in the film industry, Harju pursued his passion for filmmaking by studying film directing at the renowned National Film and Television School (NFTS) in the United Kingdom. He further honed his craft by earning a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) degree from the prestigious Finnish Academy of Fine Arts.
Matti Harju's latest two projects, Minus World (2021) and El Centro (2021),are set to make their highly anticipated festival debut at the Helsinki International Film Festival in September 2021.
