Matthew Flynn, a graduate of NYU Film School, has had a diverse and extensive career in the entertainment industry, spanning across various media platforms and reaching a wide range of audiences.
In television, Flynn has produced, created, or cast numerous series and specials for prominent networks such as Universal, CNN, Discovery, TLC, ABC, Program Partners, and Radar Entertainment. Some notable shows include Supernanny, Untold Stories of the ER, Jury Duty, Family Court with Judge Penny, Strictly Sex with Dr. Drew Pinsky, The Hollywood Judge, and Making Love Happen with Lou Paget. His work on Family Court earned him an Emmy nomination in 2009.
In screenwriting, Flynn's script Magnet won the 2004 Hollywood Gateway screenwriting competition, beating out nearly 1,200 entries. He also wrote the premiere film My Brother the Pig, which starred Scarlet Johansson and Eva Mendes in a comedic adventure.
Flynn's experience in television animation began at Walt Disney Television Animation, where he created, wrote, and produced some of the best-selling family interactive titles worldwide. His credits include The D-Show-The Big Disney Game Show, Gamebreak! Timon & Pumbaa's Jungle Games, Gamebreak! The Hunchback of Notre Dame Topsy Turvy Games, and Nightmare Ned.
As the head of Disney Interactive's Blue Sky Studio, Flynn developed original content, established new brands, and fostered original titles, including Slammit!, a non-Disney branded kid's online entertainment network. He was also responsible for spearheading original content for key talent, such as Robin Williams and Kathy Najimy, and directing production of in-studio sessions.
In the field of themed entertainment, Flynn served as Art Director and Senior Interactive Director for Wannado City, a $50 million indoor theme park in Florida. He was the Creative Director for Amora, the Academy of Sex and Relationships, in London, and contributed creative concepts and scripts for various Asian theme parks, the Spy Museum in Washington D.C., and the City of Beverly Hills, where he coined the slogan "Deck the Hills" for their 10-year Christmas campaign.
Flynn has also made his mark on the internet, branding and helping to create OneBody.com, a leader in healthy living media. He was responsible for conceiving and developing unique tools and personalized services to support the brand. At Yellowraincoat, Flynn created proprietary tools for next-generation handheld devices.
