Matt Hamilton's educational background is marked by his successful completion of the Writing for Film and Television program at Vancouver Film School, as well as his Bachelor of Fine Arts in Writing from the University of Victoria.
Throughout his career, Hamilton has received numerous accolades for his performances. In 2019, he won the prestigious Leo Award for Best Male Performance in The Actress Diaries, a testament to his exceptional acting abilities. Additionally, he was a nominee for Best Male Performance at the International Academy of Web Television in 2018, and a nominee for Best Actor at the Leo Awards in 2015, also for The Actress Diaries.
Hamilton's writing skills have also been recognized and rewarded. He has won the Best Performance award for The Fence at the Sunscreen Film Festival, and his screenwriting has placed in numerous contests and festivals, including the Praxis Fellowship, LA International Screenplay contest, StoryPros feature contest, Storyline feature contest, CS Creative Screenwriting Open, Scriptoid Television Top 3 Winner, 13 Horror feature contest, and the Leo Awards, among many others.
Born and raised in Victoria, British Columbia, Hamilton currently resides in Vancouver, BC.
