Prolific composer, songwriter, pianist, and singer, with a remarkable educational background from the public schools of San Rafael, California. This talented individual went on to become a vocal coach, arranger, and composer for some of the most iconic artists of his time, including Frank Sinatra, Jo Stafford, Margaret Whiting, Martha Tilton, Connie Haines, the Pied Pipers, and the Tommy Dorsey orchestra.
During World War II, he served in the US Army Air Force radio unit, before joining the Glenn Miller AF Orchestra and later singing in night clubs, TV, films, and on numerous records. He even had his own publishing firm, showcasing his incredible range and versatility.
In 1951, he joined the American Society of Composers, Authors, and Publishers (ASCAP),collaborating with his wife Virginia Maxey (Ginny Maxey Dennis),Tom Adair, Earl Brent, and David Gillam on many of his popular song compositions.
