Born in Messina, Italy, a city that would later influence his unique artistic perspective, he began his filmmaking journey by creating several amateur short films. In 1998, he took a significant step forward by directing his first short film in 35mm, "Uomo di carta", in collaboration with Antonio Lo Presti and Fabrizia Sacchi.
As his skills and confidence grew, he went on to write, produce, and direct "Deadline" in 2002, a new short film in 35mm featuring Guido Caprino and Karina Arutyunyan. This film would go on to be screened in an impressive 145 national and international festivals, earning an impressive 65 awards.
In 2006, he made the move to Rome, a city that would become his new home base for his filmmaking endeavors. Two years later, in 2007, he directed the Rai Fiction TV movie "Noi due", a drama-comedy produced by 11 Marzo and featuring a talented cast, including Federico Costantini, Giulia Steigerwalt, and Claudio Bigagli.
In addition to his work on TV movies, he has also directed a range of video and commercials, further honing his skills and versatility as a filmmaker. In 2014, he directed the psychological thriller "The Elevator", a film that starred Caroline Goodall, James Parks, and Burt Young, and was produced by Lupin Film.
Throughout his career, he has drawn upon his Italian artistic soul, combined with his vivid international experiences and a special sensitivity that is deeply rooted in his Sicilian heritage. This unique blend of influences has enabled him to create films that are both deeply personal and universally relatable.
