Born in Baghdad, Iraq, Martin spent a significant portion of his childhood in Egypt before relocating to Canada in 1987, which laid the foundation for his profound appreciation for storytelling across cultures, an influence that continues to permeate his work in both on-screen and off-screen endeavors.
Throughout his illustrious career, Martin has had the privilege of collaborating with esteemed directors such as Pawel Pawlikowski, known for his work on the critically acclaimed film "Cold War", and Krzysztof Zanussi, whose notable credits include the war drama "The Perfect Number".
