Biography

Mark Lutz, a talented individual, was born on Valentine's Day in the vibrant city of Montréal, Québec. As a teenager, he relocated to Hong Kong, where he spent four and a half years before moving to Toronto to complete his high school education. This marked the beginning of his academic journey, which would later lead him to the University of Guelph, where he earned an Honors Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science.

After finishing his university studies, Mark embarked on his lifelong passion for acting. He began his career in the field of improv comedy, quickly gaining a following and eventually signing with an agent to pursue opportunities in television and film. Despite having an impressive resume with over 40 film and television credits to his name in just seven years, Mark is perhaps best recognized for his role as Jukka Branny-Acke, a Finnish hockey superstar, in the popular television series Power Play, which aired on CTV in 1998.

In January 2001, Mark made the bold decision to relocate to Los Angeles, where he was soon cast as Groosalugg, a unique character with a mix of human and demonic traits, in the WB series Angel, which premiered in 1999. This role allowed him to showcase his acting abilities and versatility.

Mark's athletic background is equally impressive. A competitive swimmer from primary school to university, he holds Canadian National records, Ontario High School records, and has represented his country in international competitions, including World Cups and the Olympic Trials. When he's not acting or swimming, Mark enjoys scuba diving and has explored numerous diving locations around the world, including Fiji, Hawaii, Grand Cayman, Turks and Caicos, and South Africa.
