Mark Hadlow is a multifaceted New Zealand entertainer who has made a significant impact in the world of performance. With a passion for acting, comedy, singing, writing, producing, and directing, he has demonstrated his versatility and range across various mediums.
Throughout his career, Mark has appeared in over 130 plays, numerous musical theatre productions, and dozens of films, television series, commercials, and radio voice-overs. His most notable roles include playing the dwarf Dori in Peter Jackson's The Hobbit trilogy, as well as voices in Meet the Feebles, and performing in the vaudeville scenes of King Kong alongside Naomi Watts and Bill Johnson.
Mark has also had the opportunity to work alongside renowned New Zealand comedian Billy T James in the television series "The Billy T James Show". His singing voice has been showcased in many musicals and concerts, with Little Shop of Horrors being his all-time favorite.
Awards and accolades have been bestowed upon Mark for his outstanding performances. He has been nominated for and won several awards, including Best Supporting Actor in a Television Comedy for his role as Harry in the sitcom Willy Nilly, as well as Best Theatrical Performance of the Year for his one-man show "SNAG" in 1993. He went on to win Entertainer of the Year in 1995 and Best Voice Over Artist in the Radio New Zealand Awards in 2010.
Mark's talents extend beyond acting and singing, as he is also a skilled narrator. His most recent work includes narrating the enchanting short film "The Story of Percival Pilts" by Janette Goodey & John Lewis. He has also released an audio CD called "Tall Tales", a collection of classic children's stories.
