inaMar Viscun is a renowned Moldovan-American filmmaker, residing and working in Los Angeles, California, where she has accumulated an extensive range of experience in television, film, digital, branded entertainment, and music videos. Her unique approach to filmmaking is deeply rooted in her personal and professional experiences as an immigrant, US Navy veteran, higher-education instructor, and long- and short-form content creator.
As a producer, Marina has garnered numerous accolades, including two Telly Awards: Bronze for the PBS-released documentary "Big Voice" in 2018 and Silver for the "Journey to Safety" PSA in 2012. Furthermore, "Big Voice" has received additional recognition, including the Best US Documentary Premiere award at the Heartland Film Festival in 2015, Best Documentary of 2015 at NewFilmmakers LA, and Best Family Feature at the South Dakota Film Festival in 2015. Additionally, "Ode to Los Angeles" received Grand Jury and Audience Awards at NewFilmmakers LA in 2011.
Marina's writing has also achieved notable success, with her feature "Seeds" serving as a 1st round finalist at the Sundance Screenwriting Lab in 2016 and a semi-finalist at The Athena List in 2018. Her TV pilot "Dress Blues" was named a quarter-finalist in the Big Break Final Draft in 2017.
As the President of Pingvin Productions, Founder and Host of #WeAreWITI, and a member of the Producers Guild of America, Alliance of Women Directors, Women in Media, and Veterans in Media and Entertainment, Marina is committed to promoting diversity and education within the industry. She serves as a member of the Diversity and Education Committees and Women Impact Network with the PGA West, and as the Newsletter Editor and Communication Committee member with the AWD. Marina has also served as the Chair of the Events and Programming Committee with NewFilmmakers LA and Operations Co-Director for San Pedro International Film Festival.
In her free time, Marina enjoys chocolate, animals, traveling, good company, and is a proud US veteran.
