Notable Cuban actress, born in the vibrant city of La Habana, Cuba, embarked on her artistic journey by studying at the prestigious Instituto Superior de Arte (ISA). Her professional career took off with a starring role in the popular Cuban film "Una novia para David", expertly directed by the talented Orlando Rojas.

Subsequently, she made the bold move to relocate to Madrid, Spain in 1996, where she would go on to collaborate with the acclaimed director Pedro Almodóvar on multiple projects, including the critically acclaimed film "Volver". This marked the beginning of a fruitful and long-standing professional relationship with Almodóvar.

Throughout her time in Spain, she had the privilege of sharing the screen with some of the industry's most talented actors, including the esteemed Penelope Cruz, the versatile Benicio del Toro in the biographical drama "El Che", and the accomplished Juan Diego Botto in the drama "En los márgenes".
